The Santa Maria Water District (SMWD) once again showed their dominance in sports as it secured its back-to-back title at the 2025 Bulacan Association of Water Districts (BAWD) Duckpin Bowling Tournament facilitated by the current chairman of the sports committee, Angat Water District, held on November 14, 2025, at Paradise Bowling Lanes, City of Malolos, Bulacan. This year’s tournament brought together nine competing water districts, including Plaridel, Baliwag, Guiguinto, Calumpit, Norzagaray, Bocaue, Angat, San Miguel, and Santa Maria.
Opening on September 12, 2025, and culminating in the final round on November 14, 2025, SMWD prevailed as this year’s champion through their consistent performance and unified effort. In an interview following the announcement of the winners, Mr. Lackie Porciuncula, the team captain, said “Actually, hindi namin akalain na kakayanin naming ma-defend ang title. Syempre, sobrang thankful kami sa management para sa all-out support na ipinakita nila.”
