It was in 2007 when the Inter-Color Bowling Tournament first rolled into SMWD, and now, eighteen years later, the event has returned for its 14th edition—stronger, louder, and more spirited than ever.
On October 8, 2025, Santa Maria Water District opened its 14th Inter-Color Bowling Tournament at Long Meadows Bowling Center in Santa Maria, Bulacan. This activity is aligned with Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular No. 4, s. 2020 and SMWD’s Gender and Development wellness programs with the aim of promoting health, camaraderie, and employee engagement. The tournament ran until November 12, 2025, giving participants several weeks to compete and bond as teams.
With Philippine gods and goddesses as this year’s theme, the employees including the Board of Directors and the management were grouped into sixteen teams based on their recent performance from the previous tournament.
The tournament followed a Swiss-System format, with each team playing seven elimination matches. The top six teams advanced to the Class A Finals, while teams ranked 7th to 12th competed in the Class B Finals. All pinfalls were reset for the final round to give every qualifying team a fresh start.
