In celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day on June 12, 2024, the Municipality of Santa Maria organized a meaningful event that paid homage to our nation’s history and the heroes who fought for our freedom. The celebration took place at Ricardo Nicolas Park in Santa Maria, Bulacan, and was attended by the Santa Maria Water District Board of Directors, the General Manager, and several employees.

The event commenced with a parade around Santa Maria Park, concluding at the statue of Dr. Jose Rizal, where participants gather and sang “Lupang Hinirang,” the national anthem of the Philippines. Following the parade, a short program was held in the park.

To conclude the celebration, Hon. Bartolome Ramos, the Mayor of Santa Maria, Bulacan, delivered an inspirational speech, thanking the participants for their time, participation, and support of this activity.

The Independence Day celebration was not only a tribute to our past but also a reminder of our duty to continue the fight for freedom and progress. The event fostered a sense of pride and patriotism among all participants, reinforcing the values of unity, resilience, and love for our country.
