SMWD derives additional water supply from surface water through bulk water suppliers, i.e., Philippine Hydro, Inc. (in 2010) and Luzon Clean Water Development Corporation (in 2019).

For Philippine Hydro, Inc., or PhilHydro, the three (3) tapping points are located near the borders of Norzagaray, Bulacan, namely, Partida T.P., Perez T.P., and Tigbe T.P., and the two (2) tapping points are located along the I.N.C. line at Brgy. Bagbaguin and Brgy. Sto. Tomas, Sta. Maria, Bulacan. The Santa Maria Water District’s pipelines on those five (5) tapping points can accommodate up to 370 lps (32,000 cu.m./day). The raw water is sourced from the Angat River and treated at the PhilHydro Company’s Norzagaray treatment facility.

For Luzon Clean Water Development Corporation, or LCWDC, a consortium of San Miguel Holdings and K-Water Resources Corporation, the sole tapping point is located at the boundary of San Jose Del Monte City and Santa Maria-San Vicente. This tapping point can accommodate up to 463 lps (40,000 cu.m./day). The raw water supply comes from Aqueduct No. 6, going to La Mesa Dam.
The total existing distribution pipelines is at 246,830.51 linear meters. The breakdown in various sizes and types of materials are as follows (as of December 31, 2023):
